I have been toying with a stroganoff recipe for a few months now, but tonight I finally got it right! Borrowing a technique I learnt in Thailand, I grind the spices by hand with the onion, garlic and chilli. The result is outstanding!

I hate the word 'chowder'. It conjures up images of seafood and hot milk. Not sexy. However, this dish flirts the line between soup and stew (and really is a chowder). Healthy, hearty and fresh!
What better way to say goodbye to Winter than to use up everything in your fridge, throw it in a pot, add some fresh herbs and call it a stew!?!?!
