Over the many years that I’ve been in the Health and Beauty industry, and then moved on into owning my own businesses, this branch of my brand, Dusk by Adele was something that I’d always dreamt about the most.
I’ve been trained with, and used over 100 different skincare ranges- everything from high-end cosmeceuticals, to French made botanicals, to locally produced, Bush Botanical infusions.
And I loved them all, for their own reasons.
As a consumer, and as someone with the beliefs and lifestyle that I lead however, not all of the brands that I’ve used in the past would make the cut with me NOW.
So I decided to stop sitting on the idea of making my own range, and just did it.
Why the delay?
I had always wanted to release a skin care range- however it just never felt right under the Vegie Head banner. I wanted to have a clear distinction between my brands and products; even if the philosophy is the same for both.
So when Dusk was launched with my best-selling lipsticks, I knew this was the right platform to launch the skincare from.
The Dusk Mission.
My goal is luxe minimalism. I’ve produced high-quality, organic, fair trade and cruelty free products that are PURE, and are not mixed with a myriad of fillers designed to cut the back-end cost and make profits soar.
I’ve created things that I personally use. As you know, I cannot, in good conscience, stand behind something that I don’t believe in 100%. These products have been my mainstay here for the past 6 months, and I’ve tweaked and tested, until they were just perfect.
I believe that all women (and men) are beautiful- and that true beauty does come from within- but that sometimes we need a bit of help to FEEL good. And if that comes in the form of red lipstick that makes our confidence soar, or an oil that nourishes and hydrates dry skin- then so be it!
