#truelovetuesdays – Meet Zara!

Welcome to the first #truelovetuesdays of 2017! And we’ve got a special little lady for today’s episode. Meet Zara! Zara is a Staffy X, is 11 years young and is looking for a home to spend her twilight years. She’s very much a people oriented dog – so would be best suited to a home where she’s the only dog. She’ll make her human her whole world, and will happily sit beside you, getting a scratch behind the ears, and giving you lots of kisses. She’s pretty low maintenance, and would be great for a retiree! Watch the whole video here: You can visit beautiful Zara at Blue Cross in Wonga Park, Victoria. To enquire about Zara, contact Blue Cross Animals...

#truelovetuesdays – Meet Moose!

This is the last #truelovetuesdays for 2016! The last few months have flown by, and my Tuesday visits to Blue Cross are a highlight of my week. Not only have I been smooched and kissed and cuddled by the most beautiful pups, but I’ve been blown away by the dedication of the team. We had a special visitor on this weeks episode too! Sophia from Green Tails Pet Nutrition came past and donated a whole lot of her amazing organic pureé and treats for the pups – and Hank, Holly and Stella even got some to try! They loved it. Check out this weeks episode below, and let’s get Moose a home! Moose is a 6 month old Bull Arab x, is a little...

#truelovetuesdays – Meet Stella!

I’ve been so excited to show-off Stella in front of the camera. We met a few weeks ago and clicked immediately. She’s an Irish Wolfhound X Sharpei – and having wolfie in her, reminded me so much of Holly! She’s such a sweetie – wait until you see her on camera!   Isn’t she gorgeous? Well, you know how I said how I wanted to take her home? I did! I bought Stella home with me that afternoon so she could spend some time in a home while she waited for a new family. And she’s blossoming. She was a little unsure the first afternoon she arrived; she paced and wasn’t sure where she was allowed to go and what...

#truelovetuesdays – Meet Kai!

This week’s #truelovetuesday star is stunning 9 month old Kai – a fun loving Husky, who’s looking for a new family to love! Are you the lucky family?   Kai is fun, smart, and quite relaxed for a Husky! He’d definitely benefit from a home where the owners have had experience with the breed, and would love a friend to play with. He’s still on his ‘L’ plates- so will benefit from regular training and positive reinforcement! Share this blog far and wide, and lets get him home for Christmas. After last weeks amazing adoption of Mya, I think we can definitely do the same for Kai! Interested in meeting Kai? Contact: Blue Cross  Address: 26 Homestead Rd, Wonga Park VIC 3115 Phone: (03)...

Introducing #truelovetuesdays at Blue Cross Animals Society of Victoria! Meet Mya.

For a very long time, I’ve wanted to collaborate closely with a dog shelter, and help promote #adoptdontshop – a cause which I’m extremely passionate about. Being a fur-mama to three adopted pooches, it’s a cause close to my heart, and I’ve seen first hand the difference that one person can make in a dogs life.   Update: Mya has been adopted!  I wanted to work with a no-kill, not for profit, self funded and established rescue – and Blue Cross Animals Society in Wonga Park ticked all of those boxes. Plus,  they are in love with animals. I’ve been to lots of shelters before, and I’ve never seen one so clean, where the dogs are so loved, looked after,...
